We have some top-quality entertainment and experiences laid on for all in the evenings, and here is a quick round-up:

Friday: Modelling Jive Dance

On Friday night, John Gimber and his friends from Elmgrove LeRoc will be teaching a fun dance class (aimed squarely at those who can't dance!), and this will be followed by a full evening's dancing the night away.

Dancing can be so much fun, especially when you know the secret to making it work!

Firstly, what is LeRoc? Well, LeRoc is cross between Rock'n'Roll and French Jive - and is now known as "Modern Jive".

What are we going to do? At the start of the evening, we will teach you a series of fun easy LeRoc moves (enough to get you started and have a taster of dancing LeRoc). All that we teach will be taught as if you've never danced in your life, so anybody can do it, even those of us with phobias about dancing and two left feet! After only a short period you will be dancing away having a great time, realising that actually... you don't need to know how to dance in order to dance!

Who are we? Your teachers for the short class will be:

  • John Gimber (a computer programmer and software QA Manager by day, and dance teacher and parent by night), and
  • Johanna Bolhoven, likewise a web designer and dance teacher!

We will also both be around after the class (during the free-dancing) to dance with whoever wants to "cut a rug" on the dancefloor!

This event is open to anybody who can move and have fun. Partners are not needed - we will be moving everyone around throughout the class!

NOTE: Footwear can make quite a difference here, so try to bring something comfortable to wear that allows you to turn and spin e.g. leather soles, plastic soles, etc.

After the fun class, we will let the music play, and a great night's fun can be had on the dancefloor by all, where you can move, dance, and enjoy the music in a friendly atmosphere with your friends and family.

Saturday: Moving Sound Experience

To explore the highest potential of the sharing NLP community and your role within it.

The workshop uses voice, musical instruments and movement to release our constrictions and enable flow of mind, body and spirit with full connection to our emotions. However unmusical you think you are, however uncoordinated you think you are, the workshop will gently and playfully bring you into your fuller self expression. Christoffer's workshops are renowned for their laughter and the joy expressed.

Sunday: Mugenkyo Drummers

The exhilarating raw energy and thundering rhythms of the Mugenkyo Taiko drummers will shake the foundations of the Glastonbury in July.

Mugenkyo's style is unique - steeped in the ancient traditions of Taiko and infused with diverse musical influences. The wide-ranging appeal of their modern approach has earned them the reputation as Europe's foremost Taiko drumming group.

Powerful rhythms on the huge Taiko drums interweave with delicate flute, gentle bells and percussion in a visually spellbinding display of grace, choreography and athleticism.

Prepare for your senses to be awakened…

"Manifest skill and awesome relentless energy!" - The Stage

"Unashamedly drumming as theatre… exhilarating to behold" - Glasgow Herald

We have arranged for Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers to provide the evening entertainment on the Sunday evening, and they will be giving a workshop on the Monday morning, places for which are strictly limited to 30. Due to the costs involved, we are making a small charge of £20 for attending their Monday morning Taiko drumming workshop.

If you would like to secure your place at the drumming workshop, for which there is likely to be high demand, would you please let us know as soon as possible and send the money via any method listed here. We will treat bookings as confirmed once they have been paid for.
