Title:
Archetypes, As Partners In Our Life's Journey
Synopsis:
Stephen Gilligan suggests that we are constantly influenced
by 2 stories, the story of the personal self and the story of the collective self. In 1919, Carl Jung suggested that the latter is organized around universal themes, images and patterns, which he called “archetypes” - bundles of psychic energy drawn from the collective unconscious. The more we become aware of our own archetypes and the more we develop a positive relationship with them in our personal journey through life, the more fulfilled we can be.

Against the backcloth of story telling and reflection about the role of stories in our lives, this workshop connects with some of Gilligan’s work in this area, and introduces delegates to the work of Carol Pearson on archetypes (“Awakening the Heroes Within”), it gives an opportunity to delegates to experience their own personal relationship with each of the archetypes and to reflect on the implications for the next phase in their life journey.

The integration of these Jungian concepts, refreshed and made more accessible by Stephen Gilligan and Carol Pearson, with NLP inspired change work and life coaching provides a potentially powerful resource to clients, and with them, their NLP practitioners.
